Therapist Web Site Package
Do You Need A Low-Cost, Professional Web Site? by Jane Thurnell-ReadMost practitioners now realise that more and more people are using the web to find a therapist, and that having a web site is an important tool in building a successful practice. Many practitioners think it has to be scary and expensive. If you’re one of these people, I’ve found a company, Vision Works Media Services, Inc. who can hold your hand and produce a web site for you that looks good, doesn’t cost a lot and is fabulously easy to set up. All you have to do is choose a template design from a great range that has been specially designed for therapists, email some additional images if you wish, and write some text for the pages in Word or in an email. Now I know you can do that!
So how about the cost? I really couldn’t believe what good value this package is. The basic set-up fee for the homepage plus 5 more pages is US dollars 95 (approx GB Pounds 53, Australian Dollars 130, Euros 75 ) to set up. Then there’s a monthly hosting and support fee of US dollars 20 (or US dollars 15 if you pay this bit annually). So you could have a professional website for US dollars 180 for the year (plus the one-time set-up fee). This includes hosting and ongoing support. They suggest all or some of the following pages for your web site:
The package includes the homepage plus 5 more pages (you choose which ones). If you want more pages, they cost a one-time fee of US dollars 10. The templates include some beautiful images already, but you can email them up to 3 more to personalise your web site – may be a pic of yourself or your office. If you want to include more images than that, they cost a one-time fee of US dollars 15. The company offers a lot of flexibility. For example, if you practice more than one therapy, you might want a page for each therapy, and that’s no problem. Want a workshop page? Just email them, and they’ll add it for you at no cost other than the US dollars 10 for an additional page. They even have an online shop package (US dollars 250 to 350 for setup and training) that you can add to the basic package. They will give you advice on obtaining merchant services for your site, so that you can take credit cards if you wish.
The company will even register your domain name for you, and provide you with up to 4 emails associated with the domain name for no extra charge. Stuck now as you don't know about domain names? Don't worry, they'll advise you. They also register your new web site with the search engines. The more I’ve looked into this, the more impressed I have become. They really seem to have thought of everything. On their site they have links to websites that have been created using these templates, so you can see them in action. If you want to look at one with a shopping cart, go to http://www.jasonelias-acupuncture.com/. Excited? I would be if I didn’t all ready have my web sites. If I were starting out now, I would jump at such a comprehensive, professional package. So, the first step is to choose a template. Check out the site - in a few days you could have a professional therapy web site of your own. I receive some commission if you buy one of these packages, so please mention our name – they will recognise us as Jane Thurnell-Read or Life-Work Potential or MyTherapyPractice or that woman in England! The commission though is not the most important reason I am behind this company – I love the product and know it can be a real answer for lots of practitioners. Any commission we earn will help to make our web site better with more free information and inspiration to make your life as a practitioner easier and more successful. Update: Maura Barry in Ireland took advantage of this package after she read this page. You can check out her web site at http://www.green-healing.com. Here's what she had to say about the process:
