Leishmania Tropica is found in Ethiopia, India,
European Mediterranean region, Middle East, Kenya and
North Africa and infection usually results in a
tropical sore which can lead to complications with
secondary infection.
But there is a worrying development in that some
troops deployed in the Gulf have exhibited unusual
symptoms after infection. These symptoms can include
fever, nausea and fatigue.
